Jincang embroidery is a specialty of Quanzhou embroidery. It has the same origin as the "golden thread embroidery" in the Tang Dynasty. It is a religious, theatrical, and folk decorative embroidery popular in southern Fujian since the Ming and Qing Dynasties. "Golden thread embroidery" is an embroidery technique that uses tightly twisted gold thread to make wrinkled fabrics, with grosse satin as the base, and various beautiful patterns are embroidered on it with gold thread.
